Use our Battery Health Tool to see basic API information about your battery status immediately.

Step 1: Generate Battery Report

Windows includes a hidden tool to generate a detailed HTML report about your battery usage and capacity.

  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  • Type powercfg /batteryreport and press Enter.
  • Open the generated file (usually in your user folder) to see "Design Capacity" vs "Full Charge Capacity".

Step 2: Battery Calibration

If your battery percentage jumps suddenly (e.g., from 30% to 5%), calibrating it can fix the reading.

  • Charge your laptop to 100% and keep it plugged in for 2 hours.
  • Unplug and use it until it completely dies and shuts off.
  • Charge it back to 100% without interruption.
