Preparation
- Clean your screen surface gently.
- Dim the lights in your room for better visibility.
- Use F11 to ensure browser is in full screen.
How to Check for Dead Pixels
- Clean Your Screen: Dust can look like a dead pixel. Wipe your monitor gently before starting.
- Engage Full Screen: Click "Start Full Screen Test Sequence" or any color card above.
- Cycle Colors: Use the arrow keys or spacebar to switch between Red, Green, Blue, White, and Black backgrounds.
- Inspect Closely:
- Dead Pixel: Always black, even on white backgrounds.
- Stuck Pixel: Always colored (red, green, or blue).
- Hot Pixel: Always white.
Backlight Bleed Test
IPS glow and backlight bleed are common in LED monitors. To test:
- Make your room as dark as possible.
- Select the "Solid Black" test.
- Look at the corners of your screen. Uneven patches of light indicate backlight bleed.

Why Monitor Calibration Matters
Your display is your window to the digital world. Over time, colors shift and brightness fades. Our tools help you diagnose:
- Color Balancing: Use the Gradient tool to ensure smooth transitions without banding.
- Sharpness: The Text Clarity test reveals if your sharpness settings are too high (halos) or too low (blur).
- Ghosting: Fast-moving objects (like the cursor) shouldn't leave trails.
