Online Mouse Test & Polling Rate Checker
How to Use This Mouse Test
- Button Check: Click your Left, Right, Scroll (Middle), and Side buttons. They should light up on the diagram above.
- Scroll Test: Scroll up and down. The "Scroll Speed" indicator will measure your pixels per second.
- Drawing Test: Draw smooth lines in the canvas box. If lines are jagged or broken, your sensor might be dirty.
- Double Click Test: Rapidly click the target area. Green means a valid double-click; gray means it was too slow.
Troubleshooting Mouse Lag
- Stuttering Cursor? Check the "Polling Rate". If it fluctuates wildly below 125Hz, your connection (Bluetooth/Wireless) might be unstable.
- Accidental Double Clicks? This is a common switch failure. Use the "Double Click Speed" test to confirm if single clicks are registering as doubles.
What is Polling Rate?
Polling rate is how often your mouse reports its position to the computer.
- 125Hz (8ms): Standard for office mice. Good for battery life.
- 500Hz (2ms): Balanced performance.
- 1000Hz (1ms): Standard for gaming. Provides the smoothest motion.
Move your mouse continuously in circles to see your real-time Hz average in the dashboard above.
